FORWARD

Dear reader,

The “Bucharest Circle” Association is a geographical and temporal arc; the founding members were inspired by the organization Wiener Kreis (Vienna Circle – The Circle from Vienna) which brought together the intellectuals of the early 20th century.

Currently, the Wiener Kreis is under the high patronage of the University of Vienna. Our association has become a partner of many educational institutes in the country.

The “Bucharest Circle” Association is in the service of our youth, and seniors, it striving to promote meritocracy, supporting culture, and aiming to instill hope in our future, in the future of all Romanians.

If you wish to stand with us, if you care about the present and look confidently towards the future and at what we can accomplish together as people and as a nation, I encourage you to become a member and support us with a contribution in accordance with the law for the financing of associations and foundations in Romania.

President

DHC PhD MBA MSc Eng Laurențiu Pavelescu

With great hope and even greater delight, I assure you that every penny donated to the “Bucharest Circle” Association will be invested with care and responsibility to inspire a child, to help a young student or scholar, to comfort a senior and to promote the culture and values that unite and promote us as a nation.

I encourage all Romanians who look responsibly at the past and hopefully at the future to join our movement, to contribute together to the well-being of society and to the consolidation of a better Romania!

Thank you!

Programs and Projects of "Bucharest Circle" Association”

The “Bucharest Circle” Association conducts a series of activities aimed at stimulating the academic involvement of young people, supporting individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, strengthening civic presence as much as possible, and promoting the merits of Romanians who have achieved exceptional results in their fields of activity.

The symposium “Romania and its values“, organized by the “Bucharest Circle” Association, is a unique event because it brings together on the same stage significant representatives of the nation’s past, present, and future, who are rewarded for their outstanding contributions.

1. „The BCA award for excellence in research, innovation, culture, and entrepreneurship”

This is the main focus of our association’s activity because it promotes and supports deserving youth, researchers, cultural figures, and entrepreneurs in their development and thus the overall development of Romania.

The given honours aim to recognize and reward young people from academic environments, irrespective of their study cycle, given that its is acknowledged through the Bologna system (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate).

We appreciate that their recognition, promotion, and support are fundamental to the development and prosperity of a nation. Intellectualism has always been and continues to be the most important resource for a country’s development, which is why we, together with our sponsors and partners, want to be the promoters of these virtuous young people along with entrepreneurs and other prestigious institutions (the Romanian Academy, universities in the country, research institutes).

2. „Book for All”

The “Book for All” program facilitates access to culture and education through a book fund made available to all eligible applicants and institutions.

Together with our sponsors and partners, we direct our efforts towards schools and high schools in rural and urban environments by establishing libraries or supplementing existing ones with updated materials, thus supporting continuous access to education, and a correct and coherent academic path for our youth.

3. „The Future of Romania”

The “Future of Romania” program aims to provide scholarships for everyday schooling requirements, research, and innovation, this project being closely linked to our main one, namely the BCA „Award for Excellence”.

Together with our sponsors and partners, we offer scholarships that reward the commitment that our deserving youth take upon themselves, thus improving the precarious conditions that could jeopardize their intellectual journey and overall progress.

4. „Hope”

The „Hope” program promotes the support of young people and vulnerable families from disadvantaged backgrounds, offering them the support they need for a coherent professional and intellectual path.

By supporting young people and families from disadvantaged backgrounds, the „Bucharest Circle” Association, together with our sponsors and partners, provide the necessary support to improve the quality of life in the most favorable way for each family member integrated into the program, regardless of their age category.

Dedicated program: “With devotion for our youth” – The Liliana Pavelescu Stipendium

5. „Charity”

The “Charity” program promotes and provides the well-deserved support and recognition to our senior generations who have contributed to the development of this nation.

By supporting the elderly, we reverently uphold their contributions to Romania’s recent history. Together with our sponsors and partners, we strive to bring a smile, a ray of light, and appreciation into the lives of our seniors most affected by the burden of shortages and of course, the medical problems they face.

6. „Your Doctor”

The “Your Doctor” program aims to facilitate access to medical consultations and other procedures necessary for treatment and maintaining health.

Together with our sponsors and partners, we develop projects through which we provide financial support for treatment and medical assistance.

7. „A New Chance”

The „A New Chance” program supports social inclusion and professional retraining necessary for improving the overall living conditions of any person in need.

Recognizing discrimination as one of the major disruptive factors of progress and individual happiness, the „Bucharest Circle” Association, together with our sponsors and partners, supports those in the legal rehabilitation process through initiatives of social inclusion and professional retraining.
